The Angel Partial Coaching Scholarship
Celebrating Motherhood
Motherhood is a great blessing in my life. I am thrilled that I can now add Grandma!
After 4 years of infertility challenges, I finally conceived my daughter. Like all of us, my life took twists and turns. I mothered while married, then divorced, as a “stay-at-home” mom, and as a full-time professional woman. It wasn’t easy.
I’ve become passionate about helping other mothers take their best shot at getting it right with their beloved children.
It’s undeniable that motherhood completely rocks our world. No matter what our relationship was like with our mother, we want to avoid the mistakes that they inevitably made with us.
This seemingly benign desire to give our children what we think we missed opens up wounds that we didn’t even know we were carrying.
For example…
Co-dependant patterns
Fear of disapproval (fear of, you name it)
Over-protection
Comparisons
Feeling like you’re not good enough
Feeling out of balance
Losing your self
Needing to find your grounding between your individuality and mothering
Trusting yourself
And guilt that you would have a thought about yourself at all
When women work with me, we work at the root. When we know who we really are beyond any of the identities that we have, we relax into flow.
Meet Mary Beth…
On May 5, 2018, Mary Beth LaRue reached out to schedule a complimentary life-changing conversation with me.
It didn’t take long to recognize that I was speaking with an extraordinary woman.
She had hit a wall of despair fearing that her dream of adopting her foster son Angel was slipping away.
She was experiencing anxiety as a result of the unknown. The experience of feeling powerless had brought her to her knees.
We began our work together engaging in honest and deeply explorative coaching conversations.
The way she traversed her path toward motherhood and adopting her son Angel has forever touched my heart.
Inspired by Mary Beth’s foster journey, and my passion for my daughter, the Angel Partial Coaching Scholarship was born.

In Mary Beth's own words...
"I will never forget sitting in a chair at Children’s Hospital and finding Shelli’s website. I was there with my foster son (and also love of my life) of eight months, who was extremely ill and was likely reuniting with his birth family the next week. To say that I was distraught was an extreme understatement. All I could do was stay upright, put one foot in front of the other and keep breathing.
"When I found Shelli, I immediately signed up for a session, but I remember thinking I was too far gone for any kind of help. I mean how could someone make me feel better or see a different perspective when I was this distraught?
"Within five minutes into our conversation, Shelli offered such deep wisdom and compassion and I started to see possibility. Shelli took my broken heart and showed me how resilient I was and how much love I had to give.”
"We adopted our son this July 9th, a miracle that stops me in my tracks a dozen times a day. But here’s what’s beautiful - Shelli helped me see that I could find peace any which way. Whether our son Angel stayed or went, I would be able to find peace. It would take work and it would take support, but it was possible.
Shelli and her work have been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I now know that peace is always possible."
